Leave it in and go have it inspected by an authorized dealer. BTW if you have not done it, purchase the road hazzard warranty. It'll save you money in the long run.
OK,I took the wheel off the car and went to Goodyear. The screw is to close to the sidewall, won't touch it, but He,ll give me a deal on 4 new runcraps. TOTAL $1843.00 ! Went to Discount tire, to close to the sidewall. Pep Boys won't touch run flats. Sooo I went to one of the many small store frt. tire shops that are springing up in the hood , and got it plugged for $7.00. This hopefully will last until I call Tire Rack for Michelin ZPs. Thanks for your advice.

Did the same thing at a local shop-never had a problem. Just keep it under 150 mph
Mule,
Too close to the side wall? In the side wall or not? If it's in the meat of the tread, I wouldn't worry about it. I've plugged more than one and had no problems. Carry a decent plug kit in the future.
Its in the firist thread block, in its middle, maybe a inch from the edge of the tire. Thats why I got it plugged, plenty of meat left on the tires 28000 miles on them. I'll just keep my eye on it. Thanks again. By the way the Goodyear guy calls me his Buddy, and the $1843.00 was his best price. Wow only $400.00 more than Tire Rack !

Good work on the $7. But really, get the plug kit from Wal-mart for about $3. I plugged one about 10,000 miles ago...half a house key smack in the center of the tread! Have had no trouble with the plug. Now who's your buddy!!

I had the same problem on my right rear a huge dry wall screw in the center of the tread, air never leaked but the screw would make a weird nise evry time the tire turned,,felt as if the car was tap dancing, I simply unscrewed it, and cleaned it up and put a plug in it, the tire just works fine!! but I have read elsewhere on the forum that a plug and patch is the correct way to deal with puntured tires!!
Had a screw in the last outer section of the tread. Took it to a GY authorized dealer and he broke it down and patched it, no question. No problem with the tire since.
