2003, ZO6, I just installed Dynatech headers, cats and X pipe, hooked up to my Borla Stingers. Fits great no install problems. Also installed a Raptor XXL air cleaner, high flow air bridge, velocity stack, throttle body coolant bypass, NGK Iridiums and Granatelli wires. Car started no codes, no problems and runs great. Have put 200 miles on it and I now have 4 codes. PO420 bank 1,PO430 bank 2,PO420 bank 1 and PO430 bank 2. the manual says (cataylist efficiency below threshold). I cleared the codes and no codes in 20 miles.
I plan to have in Dyno tuned at Rev Extreme as soon as I put some miles on my new RPS clutch (which started all of this madness!)
I think I know what this means but I want to hear all of your input first in laymans terms!
dont have it handy .. but pretty sure that was your O2s detecting a lean condition...
common after long tubes .. not where i can check easy .. .someone else confirm that?
Weird, but I just got a PO420 code also just now flooring it on the freeway. I recently installed an 03 Z06 h-pipe on my 01 Z, so I don't know if having 2 less cats affected it. Also was getting A LOT of smoke out of the exhaust at WOT. Hmmmmmm.....
Sounds like you need to have your Z dyno tune to help solve your code problems. Have the tuner turn off your rear O2's and that should cure your O2 codes. Had the same issue with my Z also.
