The cheapest I have seen a patriot heads, stage 2 and 3 complete for around 1,100 or 1,200.

Go with AFR 205's. Tony Mamo there can hook you up with your current set-up. 877.892.8844

I have a very mild cam, cheap LT's and bolt-ons and make 440/397 to the wheels. I produced over 305RWTQ from 2250prm on!!!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
J.R.

AFRs are far from "budget" heads. You refer to 205/225, and these port size choices are AFR. The 225 size is for larger bore, or is available in small bore, but not recommended for street applications. If you truly wish a budget head, shop Texas Speed, Livernois, SDPC, which have ported factory versions and Patriot, which are available from several vendors.

An LS6 head with a Stage 1 port is 215cc/80cc. They are extremely affortable right now, well under $700.00.
