I'm planning a road trip and contemplating mounting the front plate.
After removing the front factory cover will the license plate bolt up or
is there a bracket required? Thanks in Advance,

Yep there is a license plate bracket for the front. They're cheap, though....about $15 - $20 bucks from a dealership. I already gave mine away to someone here on the forum, otherwise I'd give you mine.

The license plate will mount up, but with no license surround around it, it will look terrible. You might want to get the factory piece or by a painted one from a place the Kewl or the Vette Shop.

Or if you have the time, materials and patience, paint it yourself and save a lot of $$.
My front license plate is bolted on under the cover. I keep a screwdriver in the car so I can remove it. Hopefully an understanding LEO, would let me remove it without giving me a ticket.
Thats what I did. The plate is under the cover and the screwdriver is in one of the rear compartments. If I did get pulled over I just figured I would tell the officer my car was in a Corvette photo shoot and I wanted to put the covered for the picture. I just forgot to remove the cover! Who knows if it would work, but you've got to try! Atleast I could make it legal right in front of him/her.

A lot of guys have used heavy-duty velcro to hold the plate cover in place over the license plate. The theory is it's easy to remove the cover if you're out for a night on the town & don't want to risk being pulled over for no plate.
