I have an 04 MY Coupe that i would like to put some new tires and rims on. What size looks best in your opinion?
Feel free to post some pix to help me decide.
Was thinking about 19 or 20 Inch. (Maybe)
18F, 19R is as big as I'd go personally. I don't care for the look of 20's, and I think 19's all around doesn't look right. Just a personal preference.

I went with the 19-275 / 20-305
Lowered it on stock bolts. I want to lower it more.
But I think it looks great.
I did notice my car slow down a bit with all the weight though. But i get better traction so theres lots to consider.
Sorry about my oversized photo, too lazy to fix it.
To me, the ideal size of a wheel has to do with the size of the fender opening on the car. The "perfect look" is when the circumference of the wheel exactly matches the radius of the fender opening. Most people probably don't realize this, or really know why some setups look better then others, or why a wheel can look too big, or too small on a particular car.
In my opinion, the 19/20" wheels are the optimal sizes that match the curve of the C5 fenders. They just look like they belong there,
20's on the front look too big, and the stock 17's look too small.
Here's my setup - Iforged Evolution 3pc wheels, 19x9.5" front and 20x10" rears.
If you change the wheel size do you have to adjust the speedometer?
Wheel size isn't quite the issue, in a manner of speaking. It depends on how close the circumference (sometimes called the rolling diameter) of the new tire matches that of the old tire. This is why when you increase your wheel size (diameter), you decrease the new tire's profile size. If you get within a couple of %, it really won't matter (of more importance than your speed is that your odometer will be off IMO).
I like the look of the 19/20 combo best but the tire selection is really limited, only a few.
The 18/19 combo looks good to me with a better selection of tire sizes and manufactures, I like this choice for look.
18/18 combo is good for tire selection and range of sizes. Also if price point is an issue 18/18 combo's can be had at a much lower price point.
I will say that I like the 18/19 combo best but when considering all the options the 18/18 combo looks good also. JMHO

Otherwise known as RPM's.....rotations per mile. agree, get it with 1 or 2 percent of original rpm's and your speed and speedo will be out just a little ( say 98 miles per on speedo, when actually doing 100 or vice versa)

I agree. All the cars picture above so far in this thread look great....

Decisions Decisions
It is NOT the 20" wheel that fills the fender up as it is the overall diamater tire you select... When you go with a 20" wheel, you'll be looking at some extremely low profile tires........
You can fill up the fender just as well with an 18" wheel as you can with a 20" wheel, it's the tire you choose that makes all the difference....
