Sorry, no pics. I mount my V1 the old fashioned way, I use the suction cups on the windshield.

Check out the VetteMods solution. This is a great product. Beats the hell out of the suction cup mounts.

Just installed the Vettemods mount last week - before I have used velcro to mount it on the dash, just above the center vent. I have noticed a little more vibration with the Vettemods mount than I'd like, so I will be modding it - I am going to add some foam between the top of the detector and the mount arm (I bought one of those foam paint brushes to harvest the foam from). Other than the vibration I really like it.

I have continued to use the suction cup mount at the top left center of the windshield with an Invisicord so the Escort can remain on the left side of the mirror. The hard mount that is now available by Vettemods looks like a first class product but puts the display too far out of my view for my taste. Unfortunately, the suction cup mount requires frequent maintenance, especially with the heat on it and wants to sag and fall down. Hopefully a hard mount for the left side becomes available that does not obstruct the mirror. Just my $.02 worth.

Go to West Coast Corvettes WEB site.

They have a 'screw' that replaces the mirror to windshield screw.

Cost a bunch of $$$ for a damn screw, but it does work well, and keeps the radar unit just below the rear view mirror.

Here you go!

C5 Escort & Valentine One visor mounting bracket

Available in Brushed or Black

VŌZtech has designed and manufactured this unique radar detector mount with a mounting tab that enables its use with both Escort and Valentine One detectors.

This item is fabricated from aluminum so its sturdy, reducing bounce and vibration. This bracket attaches to the passengers visor clip placing it just under the tint line on the windshield, while making it less visible from outside of the car. Also, as shown above, you are still able to place the visor in the down position. The VŌZtech radar detector bracket uses the visor clip screw to hold it securely in place.

C5 version $25.00

The vibration should be very minimal. Please make sure the visor clip is seated fully into our bracket and that the detector has "clicked" into the slot on the mounting tab. If those things are done and you still have an issue shoot me a PM.

Thanks,
Rick

mine also vibrates while I drive...trying to decide what to do about it...other then that- it fits great along with my rear view wire tap...you can't see it from the outside and it is not intrusive to the passenger (where it mounts to the visor clip)

Hi Rick, Thanks, I think it is fully seated but I will check it again, as it was a firm fit... I'll let you know how I make out.

Suggestion, dump the suction cups and just use clear silcone seal to bond the stock Escort metal bracket directly to the windshield where you want it. I have done this on my last 4 cars, very stable, will not fall off, but easily removed with a razor blade. Just mark the location carefully with an erasable magic marker first, clean both the mount and the glass with alchol, put a layer of silcone seal on the mount surface and apply to the glass. Tape in place with blue painters tape overnight. then click in your Escort the next day.
Works great !
