Ok I have a glass top Im going to paint and sell it. Im going to sell it and get it painted the same color of the buyers Corvette. So any color the buyer wants. My paint guy said he can put this primer on it to make it stick for good. Well Im not sure on how much to sell it for. Please give me some honest opinions and prices. I dont wont to rip anyone off or me get ripped. Im only selling it here on the forums (if it sells) and then MAYBE ebay if I cant sell it. Thanks Everyone
ummm, my guy said he doesnt see why it doesnt stick, but I dont know. I am a little sketchy to sell it cause I dont want the person who buys it dog me cause a year or so later its messing up. Im a very honest and fair guy and never do anyone wrong. I beleive what goes around comes around. My guy was very confident on painting this and said it will never come off unless, of course, sanded and repainted. or abused. But I will see what happens. Thanks

There have been a few members that have done this to their acrylic top - here's a bump for you in the hope that they see this and can share their experiences with the paint sticking.
As long as you're honest with the buyer, tell him waht your paint guy says (better yet, let him talk to the painter) there should be no problems. I'd be sure and tell the buyer there are no guarantees it will stick.
Why bother? Don't.....give the buyer a credit if you must.
What is wrong with the glass top? This is a Corvette, not a KIA, if the top is shot wouldn't yoiu be better off finding a good used one? I would think that would increase the curb appeal!
Its spider webbed, like a lot of others are doing. I already have a new glass top and I dont wont to throw this one away. If someone needs one painted, well here is a chance for them to have one. Im trusting the members of this forum when they talked about painting the glass tops. That they look good and its what they want. Im looking to try to sell it cheap so it benefit others, and NOT to make a huge profit. A lot of people have done this and are pleased and some arent. I know its not a KIA or anyother car, I grew up around vettes my whole life and I know what the value of this car is. I dont understand why that was said.

If it's spiderwebbed, chances are it will happen again after painted when it "works" around a little. A spiderwebbed surface is not suitable to paint and then expect to remain un-spiderwebbed (is that a word?)
Thats a good idea. My paint guy said if you sand it, it should be good to go. But I might just go with selling as is. Easier and i wont get the finger pointed at and dogged if it goes bad. Im going to wait on some more opinions for a few days. What is a good price for that.
