Default Help with interior door liner

The liner is starting to come off right by where you would rest your arm by the door handle. The stealership wanted an unreal amount (like $1700!!!!!) to replace both liners for each door. Anyone know of a good quick fix? I'll take pics when I get home.

Thanks in advance...

Charlie

Same thing is happening to mine...hitching a ride if a solution is presented. Good luck to us all.

Same thing happening here, seems to be a common item. Some have placed an aftermarket arm rest to cover it. I've been tossing around the idea of using a syringe to inject some epoxy in there and seeing if that holds.

Steve,

Not a bad idea. Let me know how it comes out.

Anyone have pics of an aftermarket armrest to cover this up?

Go to the Vette Essentials web site and look at their arm rest covers. I have a set and they work great. Top quality product and it will cover up the area you are having problems with.

Mine doesn't sit in the sun that much. It has always been garaged or a widow shade when out. Its an 04 with only 11K miles and hasn't been in the sun that much and both door panels are doing that.

my 97 had the same exact problem
it is a common issue with C5s.
I just kept looking for later model door panels , patience was a key .
they finally popped on Ebay , and were in great shape . I think $ 300 or $ 350 for the pair .

I know i saw it some where but not exactly sure where....

Have you tried using a syringe needle with an adhesive and poke like two holes and inject new glue and try to smooth it out?

BTW man ur missed on the Island
