Going to do a fix on my cracked rocker panel today & have a quick question for the experts... Any problems or gotcha's when removing this piece (it's a stock Z)? I mean it looks easy enough but realize nothing is ever as easy as it seems
Are you guys serious? My passenger rocker panel (maybe I'm naming this incorrectly, but the lowest panel on the car that runs parallel to the door sill I guess) is virtually impossible to removE? I have some rock chips I'd like to fix one day but not if it's that hard.

You can repair them without removing them by sanding/putty/ fiberglass/ filler or whatever means you chose, and more sanding and paint
My rocker had to be fixed instead of replaced because to replace it, the top has to come off
You can install a rocker panel on an frc without removing the roof panel. There is JUST enough room to slide it in by loosening the quarter panel bolts. Much easier with a friend helping.
Now replacing a quarter panel on an frc.....TOTAL PITA!!!
