Default lowering the MTI way..

what exactly would that be anyway....heard this expression around the net lately...

i want to at least lower my '02 on the stock bolts / how would that affect the Z51 suspension if any ??

does anyone have a quick link for that mod

My main goal, would be to get rid of the ol' GM 4x4 look

MTI is MTI Racing (www.mtiracing.com) and they advocate not just lowering on stock bolts, but changing all sorts of things to retain or improve suspension travel, stability, and performance.

/not in the employ of MTI Racing, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

They did a nice job lowering mine.

Wish I could say the same for the ultra-whining, 100db, nightmare 3:73 diff they did and won't fix.

MTI Racing's lowering includes alignment and a pretty calculated ride height. Reese draws off of his World Challenge days for the exact specs. They will also corner-balance the car while they are there.

If you go there make sure that you tell them what conditions you drive your 'Vette in. You also might want to get the chassis tightened, where they torque all the suspension pieces back to spec. You'd be surprised at how out of wack and loose some of these Corvettes are.

MTI Racing did mine as well. Just lowering will eventually cause you long term problems.

Huh.... I have over 50k on my car since lowering, and not one problem (besides speed bumps)

Track the car occasionally also with no issues.
