I was wondering does anyone ever paint the lower part of the rear "bumper" on their black vettes? I was thinking like a dark charc. or some type of dark grey..

I love the all black look... dont' get me wrong there is no better color (IMHO) for a vette than black.... but.. i've seen this accent on T/as and on a couple of red vettes but was curious what the black vettes were doing in this area if anything..Not to interested in being the first to this and have it coming out looking bad..

Trying to picture it with a different color. I'm happy with the current look. The C5-R's had the black back with yellow body. Looked good for a track car.

Very nice black vette there. You need to put an exhaust plate on 'er though.

Thanks, I probably should get the plate ordered. Does look a little ragged underneath.
Just ordered Exhaust Plate 5 minutes ago. Have been considering one. Just needed someone to push me a little.

I'd think that a medium charcoal/gray or a silver would be a good accent color.

I know I'm probably a minority here but I am not a fan of the exhaust plate at all. I like the stock look.

Well, if you don't like the plates, maybe you'll like this. I would not hang them any lower though

I don't think it hurts to add a little color to a black vette. No harm in having a little different look than all the other black vettes out there

if you really want to paint the lower facia on a black car i think the only color you could go with is a flat black or a black primer color. any other color would look stupid in my opinion.
those painted lower facias only look good on red, yellow, silver ect.
