I myself do not have a Z06 tire kit, so I am going by memory of old posts I have read.

The kit includes patch and or plugging materail and an air pump that connects to the cars 12 volt power supply. Once the leak is plugged you then pump up the tire, and hopefully get the tire professionaly repaired and re-balanced. I myself have AAA Gold.

Had my 97 for a little more than a year. 57k miles. Door skins are pulling away. Seats bolsters wearing. I think there is a way to get the service history of the car. Most of the "common problems" on mine were fixed under warranty way before I got the car. Love the feeling everytime I drive it.

Love my 97 at 95K and still looking like new after 2 years of ownership.
But any used car will have its little problems , and any Vette year is no different, But I would imagine making it a 97 is no different than the rest of the C5 models .
They made the C5 good from day one .
Now about the little headaches if you like turning wrenches and screwdrivers , the C5s are some of the easiest cars to work on , and part of the fun. right ?
So get your 97 , although I would negotiate the price a bit more , and start Modding

P.S : I have a WS6 as well , a 2002 Collector car , but this is a different beast all together . you will love it .

I'm in Indiana. Here is a good place to find used and compare prices and years in the midwest. Found mine local. Good luck with yours!!
