just saw the post from polishdude and need to add that the ones i saw did NOT stick up above the line of the plexi cover. no bulge. dave
doesnt seem to hard to just push the light back into the bezzel farther and avoid the hump. buy a clear peace of plexi glass to some sheet metal fabricating underneath the plexi glass paint the sheetmetal fabrication up black slap on the flat plexi glass and voulla! pm me if interested in pic direction so i can take them while i am doing.
non pup headlights would cost 1000 minimum. i bet one could do it him self for 150 + time.

If you go for it... I would def. like to help/learn.... let me know if/when you wanna do this...
Is the C5R cover the lens and the bucket, all in one piece? If it's just the lens, how'd you hold it up? This is a project I'd seriously like to do. I'm not crazy about the popups at all.

pay particular attention to the sealing of the units....condensation willl mess up your project quickly....
Those are the Breathless Performance lights. Look nice but nothing special lighting quality....
Yeah, I wasn't crazy about them before, especially with that Camaro low beam housing. Now with the 130w low beams and CATZ (hid?) highs at the same price as before, it's not nearly as bad as before. I believe they have a bracket that looks like it's billet, so that's pretty cool even if it's not visible. I'd still rather try to the lights in the Home Depot thread though.
