Under hood light
Is there any way to cancel (shut off) the under hood light without having to wait the 10 minutes (or whatever it takes) to shut itself off ?

The disconnect is near the right headlight...that's easy to reach when you want to have it on.

Secret is unplug it, or close the hood.

You could put a switch in your engine bay so you can control it, I have done this on my car and some of my friends cars. It's rather convenient, especially since most of the cars I did this to didn't have the light to begin with.

Simple connector that you just unplug when you want it off sooner.

If you have an 03 the disconnect is on the left side if you are standing in front of the car with the hood open.

See the post just prior to yours. It's quick and easy.

I installed a switch to do this.
I always leave my hood open when I return home so that the "heat sink" factor is a small as possible. Saves the artwork on my hoodliner and gives me an opportunity to see how dirty the engine is.
The wiring is located on the passenger side near the front of the car. Pretty easy to put in a switch.
