Default Windshield Question

Hi,

I am going to go look at a Z later this week and it has come to my attention that the front windshield has been replaced. Is there any way to tell if it is a windshield that is meant for the Z as compared to a non-Z C5 (In the sticky it mentions that the Z windshield is a bit lighter). Also, what markings are on the Z's windshield, wondering how to figure out if it has been replaced with OEM parts or not.

Thanks for you help.

It's lighter because it's thinner. It won't hurt to have a thicker windshield. But an auto glass installer can give you correct replacement numbers.

I belive it should say "shaded HUD 4.8mm" on the lower passenger side of the windshield if it is the Z06 windshield. I'm not sure if you have hud, and am not sure if they make two different windshields anymore.
