And they improved the product too....

Last May, I bought a MY colored bra, for an upcoming roadtrip to Florida from Colgan Custom. On the first night of my trip, the bra came off and was ripped. I called Colgan and after a few calls, I got to speak with Jim Long. I explained what happened to Jim and he had me ship in the bra for inspection. In the meantime, he shipped me a black "loaner" bra, so I had "something" for my drive back up to NJ (It was lovebug season).

There were a few people on this board telling me "I told you so" and don't expect much from Colgan, as far as customer service was concerned and "keep us posted on how you make out".... Well, here is my story.

I spoke with Jim and he told me he would replace the bra, at no cost. In the meantime though, driving side by side on the highway, I had noticed another C5 with a Colgan bra on it and the bra seemed to "balloon" a little bit, by the foglight openings, at 85~90 MPH. I wondered if that had happened to me.

I'm a product engineer and explained my observations to Jim. I suggested a few product improvements to him and not only did he listen, but he added a few improvements of his own. He not only replaced my bra, but added these improvements to it:

1) Screened in foglight openings.
2) Screened in brake duct openings.
3) More positive locking lower fender clips.
4) A positive locking lower wheel well clip.
5) A stiffened upper wheel well locking tab.
6) A lower safety "retaining strap" that attaches to the radiator opening.

Now that I've seen the bra installed, I think the only other change I would add (from an aesthetic point of view) is to screen in the turn signal openings too. I'm sure that these six changes will make a this product even better than ever. Way to go Jim, you've made this customer very happy.....
