I don't have one. I've heard self-install for the 'Vette is difficult due to the compound curves. I'm close to putting one on my QX-56, though, which is a bit more "flat".

Yes, 3M does make a clear mask for the C5. Expensive and installation is recommended by a pro, but apparently it will protect the front end of the car very well.
I've got one made by Dupont (I'd heard the 3M product had a tendancy to yellow). It works great; Is semi-permanent (comes off with a heat gun, but can't be re-used). Definitly recommend professional installation. Do a search on the web and you'll find dozens of companies that do this. Alot of new car dealers offer it as an option as well on cars they sell.
I was a little suspect of the quality and look of these clear "bras" until I saw the work done on forum member "Just J's" new Z06. Unbelievable. When it's done right (hint - make sure a pro does it), it is virtually invisible. I took a pic of his car and had to get the right angle just to see the seam. If you're interested in a pic, email me and I'll forward along.
I've got a 3M clear bra on my FRC. It helps however these clear bras are NOT invincible. They can still chip right down to and past the paint. It happened to me. And IMO it looks just as bad if not worst than not having it on in the first place. I've had pieces replaced twice on mine and wil not replace any more once another rock chips it. Too expensive. Oh and another problem.. it will scratch just like the paint if not cared for correctly.

There's a company down this way that I've used for several cars. They've done my CTS-V, BMW M3, and my Ford F250, and my father's C6 Z06. I've watched it being installed, and it's definitely a job for the experienced professional. They use pre cut kits so there's no issues with the way they fit. The only issue I had was on the M3, because it is white, and the film did yellow slightly (which they did warn me about), but all other cars are dark, and you couldn't really even see it. It ran about $500.00 per vehicle installed. I'd post some pics of it installed, if I knew how to.
