After being a member for several months, i'm finally able to post some pics of my baby. I know y'all don't get to see many stock vettes, so this will be a change for ya. Since i don't have a digital camera , had to do it the old fashioned way (35mm to WalMart CD). Anyway, i know how much you guys like pictures so i thought i'd post. Thanks to the forum, you'll notice several of my DIY mods: side cove grills, battery cover, exhaust plate (emblem hadn't come in when i took pictures), headliner for glass top (way too hot in MS not to have some protection and i wanted a factory look inside). After seeing Patches blackouts thread, i think my next mod is the blackouts for the back-up lights (only). Then it's time to save for CCW sp20s. Sorry no pretty girls, but i do have one of my dog i could post.
Yep, great choice on the color and the tag!! Now tell us about that battery compartment cover.......
Thanks. There's a thread on the forum about doing your own with Lexan. So that's what i did. Tough part was making the template. I actually ended up making 2 to get the fit right. Then painted the back side with a couple of pin stripes and added vent holes and ... VOILA! DIY battery cover. I'll probably redo it when i get into painting fuel rails and other engine compartment covers. I know they may be overdone, but i love the flamed engine compartments
