I have this same post over at LS1tech.com
This is my dilemma. I LOVE the way cams sound. But, if i'm putting down close to 400rwhp with bolt ons and a tune. and i'm only getting 30rwhp from an aggressive cam, is it really worth it?!

Cam = $380-$400
Springs = $170-600
Gaskets = $50
Timing Chain = $50
Labor = $250 - ????

I myself am going to do mine myself in my garage, and then take it to get tuned. There are tutorials on how to do it, and i've done cams on other motors before so i know how to handle the cam going through cam bearings, so it shouldn't be that big of deal. Just never done a cam, with the motor still in the car.

But for all that money, is it worth 30-40hp in a z06?

I'd rather leave it stock and throw a 100 shot on it i think.

If your gonna do it you might as well do it right and get some heads, and a fast 90/90 combo as well. Then you would have close to 500rwhp.

To actually answer the original question, you might want to have a look at what is offered from www.ThunderRacing.com .

If someone has a better bang-for-the-buck answer, I'm all ears.

Nitrous haha.

I dont see much gains in the fast 90/90 intakes for what they cost. The LS6 is good up to about 650hp. (or so i've read in gm high performance magazines)
