Yes it looks better lowered---Stock front bolts all the way with snubbers cut--Long bolts in back---

In reality it dramatically changes the wheel alignment---Camber------Which deff makes for better handling-----Also aero underneath---As for drag racers the wheel alignment must be corrected. As with the increased camber the tire is not square to the racetrack.

I angle over speed bumps---The only thing ill hit is the Random Tech Cats--The front spoiler dragged everywhere , so I took it off. No overheat problems on trips. Top end on drag strip at my speed is not effected at my MPH with no spoiler.

They dont look right stock. JMO

I would imagine it also compresses the springs giving you better ground contact and feel and decreasing body roll in turns.

Oh yeah it does look good also!

found this old 2006 post.
just bought my first Vette (2000 C5) and ive been thinking the same thing.
ive noticed The sway and rear squat and front rises when I pop the clutch to chirp second. I’m not sure if lowering would solve that issue other than upgraded suspension parts?

I lowered my 94 z28 and I hate the way it handles now. It’s mostly a track and show car at this point. Runs great in a straight line haha… I don’t think the handling would be to noticeable on the C5 as it’s such a different
And better technology than my 94. The stock height is a bit much and could use a little lowering maybe 1.5

I do know from my experience slamming the Camaro to the ground that it might look cool but it handles horribly now and the headers are slowly being ground down from speed bumps. I’m going to add 1.5 back to the lift eventually.

One thing I might add is I put my torque thrush II 325/35/17 NTO drag radial wheels on the vette to see how they fit and feel. Awesome!! Traction and old school look. 10 in rims in the front and 12’s in the back. Looks fat. About 3/4 in. of wheel sticking out front and back.

The handling and traction has much improved other than the rocking when slamming thru the gears. Needs to be a little stiffer in the back and not sure if lowering will help? I had to use drag bags on the Camaro even after lowering.

I’m still researching suspension Mod improvements and appreciate any input. Thanks.
