Coming home from a nice run a couple of days ago and passed a group of Harley riders. The last rider gave me the "low wave" that you see Harley riders giving each other when they pass.
I always enjoy the Wave from other Vette drivers but this one was very One Classic Ride to Another.
That would be a 2005 BMW R1150RT-P (Police Model). We used to ride Harley Road Kings, but we've switched to these because they are safer.
Safer? Well, I guess you're referring to the ABS. But don't forget, "It's not the violin, it's the violinist."
Actually, waving has gotten lame. Years ago, yeah. Today? It's like, "Oh look at me, I've got money too. Do you like the color? My wife let me pick it out."
I own 2 Harleys and a Vette. I've never owned a foreign car and never will. A real Harley owner wouldn't own a foreign car, and a real Vette owner wouldn't own a foreign bike or car. Please save yourself the trouble of typing and telling me about the Honda car factories here, and how much of my Harley or Vette is made with foreign parts, the bottom line is that the headquarters for Chevy and Harley are here in America.
I can afford any brand of car or bike I want,
I'm an American, and I buy American.

Speaking of icons, two wheeled variety, not much more of one than a H-D Sportster! This is my modified '04 1200R and while she can't hold a candle to my '06 Yamaha FJR 1300A she is very entertaining to ride...especially on curvy back roads at ...uh..elevated speeds. Won't stay with my Vette either but can "take" our '04 Mazdaspeed MX-5 factory hot rod. I usually get waves from other H-D riders while on my Sporty, but not always as many of the "faithful" look down on Sportsters as "girls bikes" Of course it would take a really modified Big Twin to hope to keep up with me in curves....actually won't happen! LOL! Anyhoo, they are all fun and that's what counts. DFO
