Default QTP cutouts + controller -- PLEASE STEP IN!

The big brown truck just delivered my QTP Cutouts and controller.

The actual cutout install should not be too much of a problem, but the wiring for the controller has me a little confused. I am not sure what to wire the controller to for power/ground/trigger. Can I tap in to the power to the cigarette lighter in the center console and ground it nearby?

Also, I am trying to decide where to mount the controller. The demo car (C5 z06) they had a Carlisle had the controller in the astray. Has anyone mounted the controller somewhere else in the car other than the astray or center console?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the cig lighter has power all the time so I wouldn't tap into that. I got power from the yellow wire under the passerger side foot panel. I don't have the new QTP controller. I just have the original switch that I mounted under the flip open ash tray cover.

That C5 Z in the QTP booth at carlise was mine. I got power from the fuse box on the pass side floor. Then just ground it somewhere. The cigarette lighter is power all the time. If I can be of any more help letme know.
