My Z06 was originally located in California, but as I moved back in Finland, of course I took my car with me. This car has A&A supercharger, which makes it quite rare here in my home country (although currently we have just handful of C5 Z06's here and maybe bit more C6 Z06's, but less than ten, I think).
But do kids like Z06? Well, this happened to me couple of weeks ago when I was visiting one of my friends (family). Father said: "kids, do not touch", but I commented immediately: "come on kids, doors are open, go ahead and jump inside, it's just a car anyway...":
By the way, did YOU actually feel like this when you got your first Z06?
PS: these kids are used to two C-class Mercedes passenger cars which their parents own.
funny you say this. i always feel like a kid but a mature adult at the same time for getting to own one of these. I also think that the car brings out the kid in people. Just yesterday while making a starbucks run, after i go inside and order, i take a peek outside like i always do to check on my baby and there is a group of guys checking to car out. Anyway, i still have a grin on my face everytime i drive my Z. you've got a very nice Z, the supercharger kit is also great. Now go out and enjoy and bring more smiles to other peoples faces..
Yes, I feel that way each time a climb inside my Z. I have five children that absolutely love this car! They are constantly begging me to uncover the Z and take them for a ride! My four year old boy wants me to drive fast all the time. He loves speed. I am no different than my kids. I am always wanting to take the Z out and blow the doors off of some unsuspecting victim.
Kids Love the Z06! Especially little girls....and any time I can corrupt their little minds for speed...er I mean, teach them that fast cars are definately just as much for girls as boys, I will!!!
haha yep, kids love the z06. I'm 18 and i have friends with little brothers and sisters that when i come over scream out "THE KID WITH THE CORVETTE IS HERE". Definitely puts a smile on my face
As long as they are not the age that all they want to do is walk around the whole car, dragging their hand (and whatever is in it) on the car the entire way around.
Even if it is just a car, that is a little hard to watch.
My 3 year old daughter loves my Z06. Everytime she, my wife, and I have to go somewhere she pleads for us to take the Z. When we walk into the garage it's always, "Go in dada's car? No go in mama's car......go in dada's car." It's hard to explain to a 3 yr.old that we don't all fit in the Z.
Also, I always see little kids with their noses against the window of their parent's car, staring at the Z, as I drive by.
So answer your question: No, kids don't like Z06s, they LOVE them!
I find it quite a compliment that little kids love the Corvette. They are untainted by brand image, status, stereotypes, and pretentions. They just love a beautiful car when they see it.
Good work out there being kind mentors and passing on the Corvette passion. I will never forget that night on the NH Seacoast going for a ride in my Dad's best friend's Metallic-Blue C2, Convt., 327, 4spd. That ride 27 years ago weighed in when I bought my C5Z06 and its been worth every penny.
I'm 16 going on 17 on Nov. 20.
& heck yes I love Z06's.
I want one for myself already, been wanting one, actually.
It's my dream car.
Any Corvette will be my dream fullfilled.
But a Z06 is my ultimate dream.
I already have all these personalized license plates in minds.
& a bunch of other things I'd want to do to a Vette being my own.
My first ride ever was 3 yrs ago in a 1980 3spd auto, black Corvette.
It belongs to a friend of my dads.
He let me drive it.
I was soo happy.
I have never forgetten that day.
I still think of that day & feel like I'm re living the moment.
Been looking for a Vette to buy ever since.
I always liked Corvettes &
That drive did it for me.
I fell in love with Corvettes.
Ever since then I knew I'd want to own one, one day.
The year does not matter to me.
Just knowing I have a Vette will be more than enough.
Everywhere I see a Vette my attention is taken away from whatever I'm doing.
Anyone I'm with or driving with I warn them "Don't talk to me or get mad at me when I see a Vette because my attention will be on it while I see it. That is something you'll have to put up with."
