I use an old Absorber to wipe down the dust. If there is any grease or oil, I use a rag sprayed with Simple Green to clean it up. The key is to do it often enough that a major cleaning is not needed.

Do it every now and then and it's no big deal.

Simple green and a light rinse with the hose. Avoid the battery compartment with the hose as the computer is underneath it. Then a little bit of vinyl protectant.
