I have an '03 Spiral Gray and love the color. In the sunlight, that
metallic paint seems to shimmer. I get many compliments on how
great it looks. You will want to see one in person.
I've got an '03 spiral gray. When I went through the gate to watch the drag races at the cruise-in in May, the guy said it was the only one he'd seen all day. They seem to be a little unusual ... I've not seen another in my town.
We are going to look at MSG tomorrow , it has both tops , HU display , Auto , 14k miles , and a 2004.
See how it goes , I'm not going tom jump the gun on buying if its not exactly tripping my trigger, even though I want a C5 in my garage tomorrow ( in place of the 03 Cobra Vert ) I will wait. With fall coming up the C5 Vette stock is starting to become slim pickin around here.
They also have a 04 Silver C5 6 speed there too. 6k miles , HU , 1 top ( glass ) select ride ( not sure how important that is to have )
Wife does not care about 6 speed or auto , but prefers auto , and I think I want to try the auto too since the last 3 toys have been manual trans. Also the last 3 have been Silver / Black top & int. So the MSG will be a nice change as well as the A4 trans.
I get compliments on the color all the time. And I agree with fastwillie, it looks great in the sunlight where the metallic really pops. If you use Autotrader on line you can search for cars by color and transmission. I used this feature to get some price/feature comparisons before I made a purchase. Good luck with your search.

i, too hace the MSG, its a vert., 03.....lots of comments on the color, all favorable. was told by one admirer that it was a very "mature" color. doesn't attract the law, either. best of luck in your purchase, dave
I just bought an '03 50th spiral grey coupe a week ago. I love the color and they are right about the sunlight part. It brings the metallic flakes out really well. I've gotten a lot of props on this car.

Try searching for one with torch red interior. It is an awesome combo and pretty unique; I haven't seen one in person yet. I bought mine new june '04 and I put a search on the internet. Two days later a local dealer found one in Pennsylvania. The gray interior would be my second choice;black is very common. Good luck with whatever you get, you'll love it.
I was originally looking for a deal on a mag red car back in 2004 but the dealer had a MSG car sitting in the service bay. it still had the plastic coating on it. After they found the keys they pulled it outside telling me the whole time "you have got to see this color in the sunlight", all i can say is boy they were right!!!
I love the color and i get so many stares, compliments, and from other people on the road its just a very classy color. Most of all i have the feeling that i got one of the prettiest colors made on the C5 and with generally low production numbers made over a couple of years its sort of rare. It looks great with the already classic lines of the C5.
Then again the C5 is so beautiful it will look good no matter what color you choose, just find a good condition car at a good deal and enjoy yourself.
Just a footnote: I saw mine-to-be MSG in Aug '05. Test drove it and
knew it was the one I wanted. I waited until mid-October to make a
deal. It was in near pristine condition with 11,800 miles. Has the HUD
and memory package. Light gray interior, tinted glass roof, which in
my opinion makes the interior feel more spacious. After several days
of back and forth dealing, it was mine for 34K. No regrets what-so-
ever.
So, if you like what you see tomorrow and feel it will be around near
the end of the "season", plan on doing a deal a couple months from
now. It could be to your advantage.
