Default HP gain? your guess

Hey, i just bought a C5 about 2 months ago, and im going to put LG pro long tubed headers, and a borla catback system into my car. But i'm just curious as to how much HP im looking to gain doing these mods, and also would doing a tune after these mods make a big difference too? any input is appreciated, thanks =)

I'm 18 btw, just sold my 3000GT and bought this car and i can't wait to see what people are going to say at my High School.

You should probably go with a tune, and for HP, maybe 15-20. That is, however, WITH the tune.

I'd guess around 30 RWHP but you do need a tune to get all that it will get out of it

A lot depends on the tune. (tuning and tuner)

Definately will sound mean. Be careful out there.

MN6 or auto?

You will get more gain because of less drivetrain loss than in an auto.

I know the feeling. I wanna do heads or gears but the pocketbook ain't willing.

I saw a dyno chart where with just LG LTs and a tune there was a 27 HP gain. Doing headers and cat-back that number should be possible, sometimes the tuning alone can net you some good numbers.

I'm going to guess and say around 28 rwhp with the tune included. Not a bad gain for the investment.

20 maybe 25 with a tune. The headers are good for 15 and the tune is good for 5-10. Not much but sound from the catback. Are you installing a X-pipe or using the stock H pipe?
