cd changer harness ?
So here's a generic answer:
there are two harnesses involved; one goes into the radio and runs to the passenger floorboard access hatch. C5's produced 2000 and newer already have this harness installed. 1998 and 1999... maybe; maybe not.
The second harness plugs into the first harness and runs back to the rear storage compartment... to be connected to the CD changer. This harness was never installed at the factory, unless the CD changer was an ordered option.

just to update your info a little......
'97 and '98 (not sure about '99) C5's that DON'T come from the factory with the 12 disk CD changer, only have the 4 wire harness in the passenger footwell. the 3 wire plug will need to be hardwired into the fuse panel.
the harness that goes from the passenger footwell to the rear center storage compartment will need to be added if you are installing a CD changer into a C5 that did not come with a factory CD changer installed.
In other words, if the car didn't come with a CD changer FROM THE FACTORY it will NOT have the harness in the passenger footwell to the rear for the changer.
I hope that this is clear.
If you want more detailed info please do an advanced search on CD changer, this topic has been beaten to death many many times in the not too distant past!
