Back from Carlisle
Yeah.... I know, it's been over for 5 days. Been busy here at home. That's me in the group forum pic, (in the Carlisle sticky at the top of the page) kneeling, 2nd from left with the dark shirt, and my lovely wife of 32 years standing behind me. Unfortunately, we left Pa. a few days earlier than planned because of "Hurricane Ernesto". Yea.....right. It was "supposed" to be a hurricane when it hit us. So we made a mad dash back to Florida (Daytona Beach area) on Monday. Then "Ernesto fizzled out". What a waste. We left Pa. Monday AM @ 7 and arrived here at home @ 7:30 PM, Monday evening..12hrs 30 min. straight through. Yea, I obeyed all the speed limits
Here are some figures, just for your info.
Total milage, there and back (including visiting friends/family in Pa.). .....2092 miles.
Average MPG.....26.8
Average speed for entire trip, including all the stop& go...68.6 MPH
credit card expenses........don't even ask.........
One of the highlights, at least for me was meeting several other Forum members on Friday, Glennm27, UKragtop, Mike Mercury, RTPilot and several others.
