Corvette Flashback During Car Cruise!!
My girlfriend and I just participated in the "Mini Takes The States" cross country rally with our Mini Cooper S. Since I've participated in many Corvette cruises in my 03 Coupe, I found myself continually looking out for Vettes ahead or behind me instead of other Mini Coopers!
The Mini is a blast to drive, but NOTHING like my C5 (with just a few mods
). Passing other cars in the C5 is a no-brainer while the Mini has to get a head of steam built up before you go for it!
It's the Vette's turn to play next. We're heading to Funfest in a couple of weeks followed by the "Drive the Track" day at Kentucky Motor Speedway the first week of November. I was able to run at 125 MPH last year with a stock motor, X-pipe and Borla Stingers. This time I have a custom cam, underdrive pulley, ported/polished throttle body. I'll have my girlfriend videotape it again this year so I can compare it to last years run.
