Removing blackouts????
I've seen a couple of arctic white vettes on CF recently with the regular taillights and I must admit that I like them. We bought ours with blackouts already on it and they look great too. My question is...is there a way to remove the blackouts? And... if I remove them and decide I want to put them back on can it be done? Not really sure how they were put on in the first place.

What do you mean trade even up? Like I said I am unfamiliar with how they were installed. Are you saying that the old lenses were removed and the blackouts installed in their place? I thought the blackouts were installed over top the originals?

are they rounded at the edges? If so take a flashlight and shine it on the lights, or turn your lights on. you should see some 5?8ths inch round pieces of 3m velcro tape holding them on to the factory tail lights. Take a wire hanger and make a tool. Take about a fot of wire and bend the very tip of one end in to a small l. on the other end just fashion a handle.
slide the tiny bent end behind the lens and twist it 90 degrees. you should be able to pull the covers right off if they are the wrap around ones. Just make sure they are!
