Help with Question 1998 Manual Trans. C5
Hello all;
I just bought my first corvette. It is a 1998, six speed, manual transm. My question is; How many miles does the engine give you if you take good care of it?
After the engine breaks, how much will it cost to fix it or to replace it.?

My car has 160k
Yes, the problem is that is has 160k, but everything seems well. I just bought it. Can someone look a the Carfax please here is the VIN

That's a lot of miles, but if the car has been carefully maintained, it might go well over 200K miles. Hope it does for you.

According to my neighbor (he retired in April as a GM Factory Rep) The Engine was designed to have a 300000 mile life before rebuilding..with normal maintaince and useage..
