Default Have I found one?

Well, I found an silver/blk '02 ZO6 w/ 49k miles asking $29.5k. Most of the miles are highway. Brand new f1 supercar tires... the only mods are:

no cats
lowered on stock springs 0.5"

I have someone going to look at it tonight and if it checks out I'm going to look at it tomorrow. What do you guys think? I was going to offer $28.5k and go from there.

Oh yeah, what milage do these clutches usually go out? I know my camaro had the bad slave cylinder and it went out at 45k...do these clutches hold up better? Thanks!!

I would skip that car. If you want a silver Z they can be had for much less than that price.

I just picked up mine this week, an 02' w/ 13,200 miles for $33,500 just to give a comparison. I don't think $28,500- is that bad as long as the car is really well kept however the Corvette buying season is coming to an end and their may be some deals out there. My coupe was Silver, very nice color should you get it.

I'd say 4K less for 35K more miles isn't too unreasonable. Look at the book value and go from there. I don't understand why everyone who wants to buy a used C5 Zee thinks they are always worth thousands less than book value. Sure, you will find the guys who need to sell fast for various reasons (buying a new Zee, buying a house, getting divorced, sending kids to school, etc, etc), and that's where you find the crazy deals. Personally, I wouldn’t sell my Zee for less than book value since there is no dire need to dump it.

I would suggest a lower offer. A lot of corvette buyers want low miles so there will be less buyers to compete with. A lot depends on the sellers situation and how motivated they are to sell it. For comparison I picked up an stock 02 in excellent condition early in July with 9k for $30k.

for that price, if you are patient enough, you can find one with half the mileage. I got my silver 01 Z with 17k miles for $28k. Just be patient

I picked up my Silver 02Z in May 06 for $25k. The dealer was asking $28.5 but I talked him down with cash.. Mine has 38k on it. It was higher then I wanted, but I know me, I end up replacing everything anyways
