The C5 could overcome a T67 Supra in either race, unless the LSx wasn't built and the C5 was running low boost. The 67mm turbo is reasonably small by modern Supra tuning standards, but can still put down a stout 550 rwhp on pump gas or nearly 700 rwhp on race gas/high boost. I would assume that any Corvette running a TT kit would be fortified to run more than 550 rwhp?
PT67? P-Trims on that turbo put down in the 650-675RWHP range, the Q-Trim upwards of 750RWHP (32PSI).
A/R will effect the spool and low end on the PT67 quite a bit too (a .81 is common I believe on the 67).
Way too many factors involved to compare the two.
Anyway, dead-dig is a who-can-put-down-the-power contest vs. a roll-on which removes traction and focuses more on topend gearing, Cx, etc., etc. (and IMHO is semi-fruity )
Take the cars to a dragstrip, line 'em up, report back!
Nice to see that I'm not alone as an ambassador to things Supra related...but my Z06 is much more in-line with the type of car I enjoy to drive and own!
It dont matter what each car has for HP. Its all driver in alot of races. Ive whipped cars with 200 hp more than my Z06 before cause the driver didnt know crap how to launch or shift. I also whipped some smartazz in a SRT-4 Neon before with 40K worth of suspension/engine mods road racing cause he had no clue how to drive it. Cracks me up these wanna be racers.
