When I purchased my '99 convertible 6 mos ago - I noticed that the wire boot inside the door frame looked like it was covered in pollen. It was the only piece that looked like that. (Rubber accordion looking thing when you open either door) I didn't clean it because I wasn't sure what was causing it. Yesterday I met someone who just recently bought a '99 coupe. His had the same thing. I bought mine in CT. He bought his in NJ. Anyone have the problem or know what it is? I've been told to use Simply Green and wipe GENTLY. Any other suggestions? Thanks
El.
Wipe the crud off with a damp cloth, then use 303 Protectant on it.
You can buy it at alot of RV service centers etc. or spa places that sell vinyl covers. It a super UV protectant but I use it on ALL plactic parts inside and outside all my vehicles, and have for 15 years. No oily residue!
