New Clutch?
How much should a new clutch cost for my 2000 FRC? I'm replaceing mine and I have a feeling the dealership is going to try and pull some funny business. My car has 42 K miles on it.

This is going to get expensive. I had mine replaced by a mechanic that I know likes Corvettes. He plans on getting one. So he only charged me $450 in labor. I had the parts. Change the slave cylinder while your at it. You might want to consider the LS7 clutch if your going to mod your car.

Most of the shops around here charge around $800 just for labor. Then depending on what clutch you get your looking at close to 2g's.
If you know your way around a wrench I would consider doing it yourself. Its really not that hard and at least you'll know its done correct. Here is a writeup(Dope) that will help get you familiar with the job.

I bought a z06 clutch from an ebay vendor for about $330 shipped. I then paid a local speed shop $450 to install it.
