Default Automatic Window problem?

On my 04 C5, the automatic windows don't seem to work all the time. I am still trying to determine the exact circumstances, but they don't seem to be automatic when I am traveling down the road. The work fine when the car is not running. Is there something I am missing with what is normal operation or should they always be automatic when holding down the button for more than one second?

Part of the problem could be how long you are holding the button down. On our 2000 all that is necessary is a quick tap of the button for "auto-down". If the button is held down for even a second the window will stop when the button is released.

Do a search.

A number of posts indicate the cause of this issue is the connector (in the door/frame cover) that is either loose, or needs cleaning.

This might be the issue. I am going to keep trying this suggestion until it doesn't work again to see if this is it.

Thanks
