Question

I recently had installed a 160 Thermostat by west coast corvettes.

How do I know its working or not. My temperature reading on the gauges and the DIC still read around 200-220 ???

any ideas ??

I have a 1999 C5 FRC Six speed.

a lower thremostat only works when you set the fans to come on at a lower temperature.

any tuner can do it. it shouldn't be too pricey at all.

From: Not on either liberal coast.

The 160 means it will open at 160 degrees, not maintain 160 degrees. It'll open and the coolant level will be what it will be, depending on air flow through the grill opening(s), the fan(s), circulation by the water pump, coolant makeup (antifreeze %, H20, WATER WETTER, ect).
