Not custom or anything... but my favorite by far. C6 Z06 assembly with a vette essentials short boot made for the C6 ****. I had a hurst for 3 years w/ every kind of **** out there.

Call me crazy but I like the large stock shifter, I think it looks good too.

This is what I have on my A4. You can't really see from the rear shot, but it's a pistol grip.

I like that a lot, how (or where) can I buy a similar setup? Did everything fit or did you have to mod it to fit in a C5?

^ Direct install... remove dash stuff, undo 3 torx bits holding shifter assembly in, then replace and re-bolt.

The cheapest place for the the shifter assembly is www.fredbeansparts.com I'd call them directly to order. Tell them you want a C6 S06 shifter assembly. It comes w/ the **** and everything.

And get the boot from www.vetteessentials.com Tell them you are using it for a C6 shifter so they'll give you the one that tucks right into the groove perfectly.

This is the "Retro" look....


Parts are from a stock C-3. Threads are the same, and lockout fits right over the stem.

Shift pattern was removed from original ****, filed thin, and siliconed to console.

B&M Ripper Shifter, with a B&M smooth palm grip that I had to custom tap to fit the shifter.
