I would not use it. The tire shop will hate you if you ever change tires. I hear that stuff is a biotch to get back out.

Default replaced tire sensor

I have a 99 coupe that does not have runflats, I used it on one of my tires and I had to replace the sensor. I was told that Tirerack sells a kit with a compressor with latex filler. I purchased the kit but I hope that I don't have to try it out.

I would not use it. The only one I have heard that is safe for use with the sensors is the kit from the Tire Rack mentioned above - but I haven't heard of anyone actually having to use it yet.

Slime is not recommended for speed rated tires.

I know of someone who had to use it and it peeled off the sensor very easily

This is good to hear. I had the GY GSD3's non run flats installed and love 'em. Purchased the Conti tire compressor/kit from Tire Rack and decided only to use the sealer that is part of the kit as a last resort. Many of us were asking the same question -- will the sealer harm the tire sensor, even though the Tire Rack claims no.

Default Water soluble tire sealant

I purchased a kit from Canadian Tire which claims the sealant is water soluble. Any one hear of this type of sealant. I just purchased the Goodyear GS D3 so that is the reason I bought the kit. water soluble sounded like something that may not screw up the sensors but I dont really know how they work.

Here you go from the Tire Rack:

http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...tkit/index.jsp

My understanding is that this is the only recommended kit to use with our sensors.

I talked to Tire Rack the other day on their kit. Since I just went to Kuhmo's on my car (they should be on porch right now).

They would not state that it wouldn't screwup sensors. They said use at your own risk!

Default Slime is bad...

Slime should not be used and in face cannot be used with the sensors per the Slime.com FAQ: http://www.slime.com/customercare/viewfaq.php?id=56&q=

It ate the inside of my chrome ZR-1 wheels when I had a C4, making the wheel unable to hold pressure.
