07 paint issues ???
I have had my new Z06 for about a month and cant help being very dissatisfied with the orange peel finish. It has been to the dealer and they agree it is poor and have offered to repaint or color sand and polish it . I am very hesitant in letting them touch it as they are not as careful as they should be when working on it .
Has anyone had this issue and what has been done ? Does the factory waterbase clearcoat color sand and polish sucsessfully ?Thanks

and sympathize. I've felt the same way since I bought mine new in Sep 04. But I live with it. Factory finishes are thin, very thin. Not much clear coat color sanding 'meat' to play with. I wouldn't consider a repaint because I'm convinced the factory finish is overall far more durable than what any paint shop can offer.
