Default Tire sensor question

I am thinking of purchasing a set of chrome thinspoke from a member. Will i have any problems switching the wheels out regarding the sensors. Also say one sensor on the new rims are bad is it possible to take them of my other rims? Dont really know anything about this and appreciate any help. THanks in advance.

Default No problem's

You can swap all the sensors if you'd like. you will have to reset/reteach all the sensors anyway ! The instructions for retraining the sensors are in this forum many times , just do a search on tps retraining !

Just FYI, the 97-00 cars used different tire sensors than the 01-04 so make sure , and they are not interchangable.

So if you buy rims from a 98 and put them on your car that is an 01 for example, the sensors will not work and you will have to replace all of them.

Likewise, if you are buying wheels from a newer model, you will have to use the sensors from your older wheels. As FrankTank said, they are not interchangable.

You shouldn't have any problems using sensors with the new wheels. If the new wheels come with sensors, just be sure they will work with your year of car. '97-'00 is one style sensor, '01 and newer is another and they cannot be swapped.
