Default **Question** about ccw classics {race version}

my question is............. why can you not put a center cap on the ccw classic race version of the wheel. street classics have center caps and race classics dont have center caps, if i understand correctly, if im wrong let me know. if you know the difference i would like to know that as well, like the race classics dont have a reciever groove or some thing that the center cap snaps into.

maybe the race classics just dosent come with caps b/c they are not needed for looks in race applications, but you can purchase them?

Yes you can purchase the caps for classics. It's simply a beauty thing versus race thing.

I would assume there are otehr differences besides the cap between the race versions and the street versions, but John@CCW would be able to answer you better.

BTW race version does not have center caps because we dont need them flying off onto the track.

The caps for the race version are put in from the back and can't come off unless you remove the wheel.

Race version now comes standard with the center caps. I know this because I have them.

John changed some things on the race set. first is the dust caps installed from the back side of rim, so they can't pop off at the track. second is the ARP nice screws he uses on the street rims are now carried over to the drag rims as well. Damn beautiful package if you ask me. And the latest and greatest is...... You can now get the rims in 16, 17 and I think even 18's This includes the skinnies.

Stainless ARP bolts are now part of the drag package as I stated above. Here are pictures of my STANDARD race skinnies. These have NO EXTRAS, just the standard order drag set-up, rears look the same.
