Interior Rear View Mirror
Someone correct me if I am wrong. I understand that on a 2003 one option was a mirror that had auto dimming and buttons for your gate/garage opener. If this is correct, how would I change out my standard mirror and put in the upgrade. Is the wiring there where it is a "plug and play"?

I've got an 03, but I didn't see anything on the options list about a door opener button. I have the auto dimming mirror and two buttons for reading lights, but that's it.

I don't believe any C5 came with "Homelink" type buttons on the rear view mirror. There are replacement mirrors available but they seem pricey to me. The auto-dimming mirrors with the Homelink may not require anything extra. I have seen folks here talk about upgrading from the non-dimming to the auto-dimming mirror and I think there is a tech tip on it.
I have a seperate Homelink to install in the visor and may get the auto-dimming mirror later if it is not too much trouble.
