Most here will say you are crazy and to buy a Cadillac instead of wood in a vette, but there are a few colors would look great with some wood pieces. PFYC.com had a coating for the stock parts that looks like wood and it not that bad a price. Check them out and let me know what you think.

I've seen a couple of C5s with wood trim kits installed. It really depends on the color of the wood and the color of the car, but it can look pretty good. Not sure where the kits were from though.
I first put a wood dash on my '86 over 20 years ago and when I purchased my '03 that is one of the first items I put on it. I got it from Mid America but within 3 months it started to de-laminate. The outer skin started seperating from the "wood" and now I have three pieces that have a milky appearance. Mid-America will not do anything about it. I've written to Mike personally (we go back 20 years) but he has not answered me back. Needless to say I'm upset. There only suggestion was to buy another complete kit ($399) until they make a determination as to whether or not they will warranty the pieces in question. I show the car and can not go without any portion of the dash. BUT, all in all I think a wood dash gives the Vette some class in an otherwise blah interior. All black? Ugh...
I bought a C5 a couple of months ago that had the simulated wood trim in it. One of the first things I did was remove it. Wood trim (whether real or fake) works in a luxury car such as Lexus, M-B, or Cadillac, but not in a sports car, IMO.
Eckler's sells 2 kits from RPO. One is rosewood, the other is Italian burlwood. I have the burlwood one. It was installed in 2003 & I have had no issues with delamination.
