Default Magnesium Wheels

Has anyone did something different with there magnesiums such as stripped and polished or did something better than those fugly gray plastic lug covers? I like my mags but they need something added to get more curb appeal.

I remember a post a while back where someone had polished the magnesium wheels - looked pretty good. I did a search and didn't come up with any pics although there were some threads talking about polishing them.

Paint or powdercoat would work too. The guy who polished them a while back also made them look great.

When I had the Magnesium wheels on mine, I used the chrome lug nut covers. I thought it looked really good, as it added some "bling" at the center of the wheels. They are not that expensive and might be worth a try to see if you liked them on one wheel first..........

You had magnesium wheels on a pewter vette? I was wondering how they would look on a sebring silver. I didn't thing it would do anything but clash. Am I wrong? I need to replace the wagon wheels.

On silver I would go with chrome or high polished. then again I have a pewter coupe with lt oak interior and didnt even wanna go look at it since I thought that combo was ugly....once I did I loved it!

I wish I could get some good feedback from people that have polished their magnesiums and how they have held up!

Actually, when I first bought them, I was just heartsick once I had them on. I hated them on Pewter, and had to live with them only long enough to be able to afford to replace them. I think they look good on any color red and on green, but on a silver car, they looked pink!!! Especially on Pewter, they were CLOSE to the same color -- TOO close and I thought they looked horrible........go with the C6 Zo6 and you will thank yourself
