Why not? It's worth every penny (at least if you plan to do any of the work on your car).
Because I refuse to spend that much for a book! (anyway, I'd rather have the software version) And if I can find a DVD or CD copy on eBay for $20 (which other people have evidently done in the past), then that's a lot less than $130. I just can't seem to find a copy on eBay right now or any of the P2P sites or programs I've searched, so I'm asking for suggestions on where else to look.

Actually they are 3 giant books hot red books. A few hundred pages in each, with in depth diagrams and exact instructions on every single point and part of your car inside and out. Every washer is accounted for along with every measurement and type of fluid and such that is possible in your car.
You can literally take your entire car apart and put back together with these manuals provided you have the tools.
It's real good to have to see how your drivetrain is made and can save you tons of money if you ever have a serious issue with your car.
Oh and all the codes and tricks to accessing your computer systems are in there.......blahblahblahblahblah........ ..you get the point.
Not a typical manual like you'd see at Autozone. These are 3 huge volumes from GM.
First, I doubt that the “PDF” version sold will be as comprehensive as the three thick GM manuals. (The three stacked on top of each other measure 4-3/8” inches high – brand new and compressed)
I have seen a couple of advertisements for “CD” and “PDF” repair manuals, but to my understanding they contain only “general repair information”. They were in your price range.
Now you can purchase (subscribe to) computerized information geared towards professionals but the cost is astronomical by your standards (and mine).
Example: From Snap-On: Stock # SKD1C Name ShopKey Repair, 1-YR, Domestic, Single User Subscription CD Price** $3,114.00

One of the forum members advertised the C5 DVD Manual in C5 parts a while ago for $25. I purchased it since I was tired of thumbing my way through the 97 manual I had and missing things that are on my 03Z. It covers all GM cars in detail from 97 through 2005. It has every drawing and word that is in the paper manual plus you can search on a diagnostic code and find the related diagnostic information. It also ties into all of the known TSBs that existed at the time the DVD was made.
It is an excellent manual and it is well worth the $25 I paid for it.
When you plug in your car year and model you see the following categories:

It was a real help when the Automatic leveling system on my 03 Tahoe stopped working. I was able to find the components, diagnose the problem and get it fixed without going to the dealer.

I understand your concern about the price, but it sure is nice to have a hard copy of the book right in front of you when you are working on the car. You can find them much cheaper in the for sale section of the forum, or if you go to any of the major shows, vendors usually have used sets that are priced much lower.

That is exactly what I'm looking for! Do you know who had them for sale, and if he's offering any more?
If there aren't any more available, would someone who has it please make a copy for me?

In the past, I would've agreed completely about having a hard copy. Unfortunately, my other expensive shop manuals have become quite a mess over the years. I now also wish that the licensed versions were offered in a digital format that I could reference from a "well-used" computer in my garage. Then I could have the Forum and the manuals available at my greasy fingertips.
I would go with the 3 big red books. I found taking one of the books right out to the car when working on it was much easier than looking at a cd. my $.02.

You must not have gone to college if you don't want to spend that much on a book. That's a normal price for a book you would use for one semester and never use again.
If you work on your car at all, this set of books is worth every penny, yes, you get three books, not one. The CD rom doesn't cover it nearly as good and takes longer to dig through, then you will probably print it, so the cost of ink will eventually surpass the cost of the books. You can probably get them from Beans for $125 shipped or wait around for a used set.
