Default Report on Ported Throttle Body

Replaced the stock C5 TB with LPE ported TB, which is a stock Z06 TB ported and polished. Before and after same day (actually hour) dyno results were an increase of 2 rwhp and 3 rwft. Not bad for $200 fully installed by 21st Cent MC.

But what I was really after was increased throttle response, and I got that. Noticebly! Even after all the previous mods I always felt as if the car was contrained, like a runner trying to breath through a straw. This mod has alleviated that feeling to a great extent, now when I step on the gas pedal she is clearly inhaleing much easier and better!

I do recomend this mod!

On a sad note, Patrick Sparks' last day at 21st Cent was this past Friday. Think my ride was the last one he worked on. Great guy and great tunner! He is taking the plunge and going out on his own. Best of luck to him!

Not a bad increase for $200. Good to hear that the throttle response improved too.

Did you have the car tuned after the throttle body installation? What happened to your A/F ratio? Thanks.

couldn't 2HP be in the % error of the dyno?

I would like to check this out, not sure I am willing to spend the cash on a ported TB, but if the throttle response is that noticeable, I would be willing to consider it.

Nice post!
