Hi there everyone. I wanted to know what the difference was between an air bridge and coupler from a 2002 and a 1998 (after market of course)? Could I make a 2002 air bridge and coupler work on my 1998? Any information would be grately appreciated.

Thank you.
Miguel,
The '98 airbridge has a hole in it's side for the inlet air temp probe. The 2002 has none but could be modified for one. Also, the Maf sensor end of the airbridge on the 2002 is larger than a '98. If there were a reducer type coupler available it could work. Oh, and they have different part numbers too.
Another option would be to convert to the later Maf sensor, but I have no clue what, if any, other changes are required for that.
I have an 04 and an air bridge from the early years fit mine. At carlisle I bought one (early years), like Cenzo said there is a hole on it and my 04 bridge is sealed off. I sent mine off to get chromed and before I did I installed it on my 04 and it fit fine! I believe you will find out the it will fit. Tom
Thanks for the advise. I have someone that is selling one but I think the coupler is larger for the 2001 and on than the 97-2000. I just want to make sure beofre I purchase it.
