Speeding Ticket
hey guys, got a ticket yesterday around 9:30 ish. i was doing 80 with the cruise control on. same flow as traffic. in fact there were others going faster than me, and i get pulled over. cop told me i was clocked doing 90 and all this other bull. i didnt bicker or anything with him and told him hell be hearing from my lawyer (SP?) he kind of panicked, but still cited me. what should i do? im not even 20 yet and this is my 2nd speeding ticket. im scared my liscence will be going bye bye. i got a letter about a year ago saying i had 2 points taken off or added to my liscence due to my first speeding ticket. i wonder why i was the one singled out. there were others going faster than me. why pull ME over?

You should be fine with just 2 tickets. Just don't pick up anymore. Speeding tickets are usually just 1 point each, unless you were doing something crazy. Did you take care of the first ticket with traffic school? You lose your license when you get the following point totals:
4 in 12 months
6 in 24 months
8 in 36 months
I picked up 3 tickets within a matter of a year recently. Took the first one off with traffic school, so I have 2 points on record. I used to drive 80 cause it's the regular flow of traffic in most LA freeways that I take. But I've been easing back to 65 since I picked up that 3rd ticket.

If you haven't been to traffic school in the passed 18 months, you can try that route...
If you have been, you can request 2nd offender school (more expensive and longer, but cheaper than paying insurance for a ticket).
Maybe you were singled out, but sorry... that has nothing to do with whether or not you were "speeding"... and that includes traveling in a pack of cars.... It was just your lucky day.
In the meantime, take it easy and watch your speed....

Hey man dont worry bout it when it comes to tickets no one beats me. ive been to court more times for speeding tickets and all other tickets thn anyone else I know. Take this from me, get a lawyer thats a sure thing dont show up without one plead guilty and they will give u supervision. U got yourself a 200 dollar lawyer and supervison. Ull be fine and it wont go on your record
