Default Mod question advice needed on exhaust system

Hi guys. I am about to buy my first mod. Like you all said i am just going to purchase individual pieces and buy better parts. I want to upgrade my exhaust system. I was going back and forth between borla and the B&B bullets. I heard a sound clip on the B&B site and it sounds pretty awesome. The only thing is i dont want it to be obnoxiously loud where i cant even talk in my car on the cell phone cause the exhaust is too loud. Will the B&Bs do this? I didnt get a chance to hear the Borlas. Now I have a few questions

1. Are the B&Bs extremely loud where i cant even talk on my cell phone in the cabin?
2. How do you compare the borlas to the B&B.
3. I saw that the B&B system is $825. Is this all i need and i just buy that exhaust system and have a shop install it? It just seemed really cheap. I thought exhaust systems were thousands of dollars.
4. How much should i expect to pay to have a shop install these?
5. Is anyone selling their setup?

Thanks for the help guys and sorry for the elementary questions but i know very very little about cars in general especially when it comes to modding them.

Both the Borlas and B&B's are quite loud.

The Borlas are described as more Euroish in sound. The B&B is a little more muscle car sounding.

Install should be under $100. It's a half hour job.

Keep an eye on the C5 Parts section. You can do much better than $825.

I think you'll like the B&B's better between the two. Let me help...seen the Magnaflows? Mellow, deep rumble, look great

I like the bullets a lot more than the stingers. The price seems a little high. west coas corvettes has that system(4tip) with the corvette forum discount for $611 which i think is a steel. Since your in california i noticed that labour rates are a little higher but i wouldnt pay more than 125 to install this. I think a lot of shops would do it under 100. If you are in northern california call synergy motorsports and ask how much for an install... should be under 100.

First you must decide what it is you want to accomplish. Putting a catback by itself on as nice a car as a corv does not accomplish much by way of added ponies. Basically all you are doing is making it loud. These can accomplish the same thing.

If your budget will allow, why not put some headers, hiflow cats and xpipe as well. Basically what you are doing with cats only is putting new legs on a man with a bad heart.

An entire exhaust system can cost thousands of dollars. I believe the B&B system you're looking at simply bolts on to the existing H-pipe (the pipes that run from your catalytic converters under your car to behind your seats). It's just the pipes, mufflers and exhaust ports

As said above, this does little to improve horsepower, because your engine is still pushing its exhaust through the exhaust manifold bolted to the engine, the stock catalytic converters, and H-pipe.

An entire exhaust system (that will cost thousands of dollars) effectively minimizes the exhaust flow restrictions compared to stock. You can purchase Long Tube headers (the pipes that channel exhaust from your engine's combustion chambers to the catalytic converters with as little back pressure and turbulence as possible), Hi Flow catalytic converters (or no catalytic converters at all - check your state requirements), a High-flow X-pipe instead of an exhaust-choking H-pipe, and the mufflers.

The B&B ($825) system is only 1 component of a possible 4 component exhaust modification. Each component costs hundreds of dollars...which adds up quickly.

To get some ideas why don't you check out TByrne on the left, they are a forum vendor. They've got many different types, all makes and models. From time to time they have promotions.
